UIS: Serving the University Community

In Harvard's highly decentralized IT environment, University Information Systems plays a unique role. UIS is responsible for providing a dependable and robust technology infrastructure; including support for the Harvard Data Network, fostering relationships with strategic technology vendors and delivering effective IT services for the University. These services include telecommunications services, network and server services, and end-user support.

Under the guidance of Susan Walsh, Executive Director for Technology Infrastructure, UIS also plays a key role in IT plans and initiatives across Central Administration and the wider University community.

UIS is a member of the Central Administration Information Technology (CAIT) organization, reporting to the University Chief Information Officer, Daniel Moriarty.
