University Information Systems (UIS) stewards relationships with strategic technology vendors on behalf of the University. The benefits of these relationships with Harvard's Strategic Partners include advantageous contract and pricing terms, advance notice on product development, and executive information exchanges on technology evolution and strategies.
For each Strategic Partner, there is a team of Harvard people, informed and knowledgeable about the vendor, working with the community to obtain the most effective vendor presence at Harvard. The UIS teams sponsor periodic forums in order to review vendor performance and to develop recommendations on product and pricing issues.
CIO's, IT Directors, and IT staff members are encouraged to contact the UIS teams with questions and suggestions on specific vendors, contracts, and products.
