    1. What is Audio Conference?

        It provides the ability to communicate between three or more parties/locations that are linked by a voice only telecommunications medium (eg) phone.
    2. What are the options?

        There are three options:
        1. Using a Harvard ISDN or Analog phone: (for calls involving 3 or less parties.) The Harvard Centrex can be used to conduct a basic voice conference. This can be done by using the features on a Centrex line (three-way-calling) or an Analog set (recall, link or flash button.) For assistance with these features, please contact Customer Service at 5-8590 or telecom_orders@harvard.edu.
        2. Using a Self Service “Always-On” conference bridge account: (4 or more parties), which provides 7 x 24 with no pre-call set-up required. To obtain an account click here.
        3. Schedule the call through a Harvard Operator: (4 or more parties.) Call 5-5575 and an Operator will assist you.
    3. How do I schedule a call using an Always-On Account?

        Notify your participants give them the toll-free number, participant passcode, date and time of the call.
    4. How many participants can I have on a call?

        1. An Always-On account is assigned (35) lines. For additional lines contact Conference America 800-925-8000.
        2. Harvard Operator scheduled calls will depend on how many are requested when arrangements are made.
    5. How can I get assistance during a call?

        Dial (*0) and a Conference America operator will join the call.
    6. How will I be billed?

        Your department/school will be billed via UIS’s TORTE monthly billing statement. Total cost of the call (includes all participants) will bill to the Conference Leaders Harvard phone number. Charges are compressed, so total minutes and cost may appear as one charge.
    7. How can I get the call detail for a specific call?

      • If you have any Always-On account please click here and follow the instructions.
      • If call was scheduled through a Harvard Operator call Maria Pavidis @ 5-2517.
    8. How much does it cost to make a conference call?

      • For Domestic & International rates click here
      • Cost for additional services such as, Recording, Reply on Demand, Transcription, etc click here and refer to the Other Chargeable Items section of page.
    9. How can I record or transcribe a call?

      • To Record:
        1. Using an Always-On Acct.:
          You must dial (*2) at beginning of call. Dial (*2) to end recording.
        2. Through a Harvard Operator: request service when scheduling the call.
      • How can I have a call transcribed?
          Please Note: Call must be recorded in order to be transcribed.
        1. Using an Always-On Acct.: call Conference America @ 800-925-8000 and provide call information.
        2. Through a Harvard Operator: request service when scheduling the call.
    10. What if I forget my passcode or lose my wallet card?

      • Contact UIS @ telecom_billing@harvard.edu during the weekdays between 9-5.
      • Contact Conference America @ 800-925-8000 after 5:00 pm or weekends.
    11. How can I change my Always-On account Conference Leader features (eg) call entry & exit?

        Please visit the vendor’s web site @ https://www.yourcall.com/myservices and log in.
        1. Click on the “Always-On Control menu.
        2. Select the Account Options (icon looks like a hammer) under the “Special Functions” menu.
        3. C. Click on red “Change Options” menu.
        Note: Please view the “Special Leader Functions” section for feature descriptions prior to making changes.
