Repair

Requesting repair service

To request repair service for circuits, phone lines, phone equipment, and wire and cable, call 495-4900 during business hours (8 am to 5:00 pm). (From the Longwood campus, call 432-1507.) Be prepared to provide a detailed description of the problem including:

  • Line number and location
  • Type of line and phone equipment being used
  • A phone number (other than the troubled line) where you can be reached
  • The nature of the problem and any troubleshooting steps you have already taken.

Troubleshooting phone problems

If you are having problems with a phone line or phone equipment and are not sure whether repair service is required, call Telephone Repair at 495-4900 during business hours (8 am to 5:00 pm). A service representative will help you troubleshoot the problem and request dispatch of a service technician, if necessary.

Troubleshooting voice mail problems

If you can't figure out how to use a voice mail feature, go to the voice mail User Guide. If there is a problem with your voice mail service, review the voice mail troubleshooting tips.
