Once you have mastered the basics of voice mail, you can start using advanced features to manage your phone communication more flexibly and efficiently. A number of tools are available to help you improve your skills.

Explore main menu options 2 and 4

Send, which is option 2, allows you to create and send voice mail messages to other subscribers. Using a group distribution list, you can even send the same message to a group of colleagues or friends. Click here for details on how to create and send messages.

Personal options, which is number 4 on the main menu, includes:

• Administrative options (press 4-2 from the main menu) allows you to change your passwords, set up group distribution lists, and change prompt levels.
• Greetings (press 4-3 from the main menu) allows you to record and change your personal greeting.
• Notification schedule (press 4-4 from the main menu) allows you to set up voice mail to call or page you (called "outcalling notification") if a message is received while you are away from your campus phone.
