Personal greeting options

Once your voice mail account is set up, callers will not be able to leave you a message until you have initialized your mailbox by recording your name and a greeting. Although you may elect to use the standard, automated greeting provided by the voice mail system, we strongly recommend that you take a few minutes to record a personal greeting.

To record a personal greeting in your own voice, press 4-3-1-2
You can change this message as often as you wish.

To record an extended-absence greeting, press 4-3-2
When you plan to be away from your office for an extended period - for example during vacation or while traveling for business - it is helpful to tell your callers how long you expect to be away and whom they should contact in an emergency. When an extended-absence greeting is in place, callers cannot bypass the greeting.

Each time you enter your voice mail box you will be asked if you wish to retain your extended absence greeting. If you choose to delete it, you will be prompted to record a new personal greeting.
