Verizon Wireless Pricing Notices

Increase only pertains to Verizon Wireless Customers without a Messaging Package

  1. What is the Text Messaging rate increase?

    Effective March 2, 2008, the price for sending Text messages to the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico - as well as the price for receiving Text messages from anywhere - will increase from $0.15 to $0.20 per message.

  2. I subscribe to a messaging package, will I be affected by the domestic Text Messaging rate increase?

    No. Only customers who do not subscribe to a messaging package will be charged $0.20 per message to send or receive text messages to the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico.

  3. I subscribe to a messaging package, will I be affected by the International Text Messaging rate increase?

    All customers, regardless of whether they subscribe to a messaging package or not, will be charged $0.20 per message for text messages received from customers of foreign wireless carriers (international text messages).

  4. I subscribe to an IN Messaging package, will I be affected by the Text Messaging rate increase?

    Customers who subscribe to an IN Messaging package will continue to receive the benefits associated with IN Messaging, and your IN Messaging package rates will not change. All text messages you receive from customers of foreign wireless carriers will increase from $0.15 per message to $0.20 per message.

  5. Is there a Text Messaging increase for International Text Messages?

    The price for sending International Text messages will remain the same at $0.25 per message. Effective March 2, 2008, the price for receiving Text messages from customers of foreign wireless carriers will increase from $0.15 to $0.20 per message.

  7. What if I have an INpulse or EasyPay or other plan for which I prepay for service?

    Your text messaging charges will not change.

  8. I am a frequent text messaging user and am concerned about increased costs. Do you offer any messaging plans that will help me reduce my messaging costs?

    If you use text messaging frequently, consider subscribing to one of our messaging packages. Our messaging packages start as low as $5 per month for 250 messages, which can be any combination of text, picture or video messages. Any additional messages that you send or receive in excess of that amount are billed at $0.10 per message. Other plans with more included messages are also available.   9. What are the benefits of Verizon Wireless’ messaging packages?

    Verizon Wireless offers 4 options which include domestic text, picture and video messages starting as low as $5 monthly access.
