Basic dialing procedures
ON-CAMPUS CALLS: To place a call to an on-campus line, dial the last 5-digits of the telephone number.
PAETEC subscribers never pay a charge for on-campus calls.
OFF-CAMPUS LOCAL CALLS: Dial 9 + the 10-digit phone number. If you are calling from a restricted phone
line and the call is outside the service area , you will hear a beep. This means it’s a billable call and
you will need to key in your PBN (Personal Billing Number).
DOMESTIC LONG-DISTANCE CALLS: For calls in the U.S. and Canada, dial 9 + 1 + area code and number. When
you hear the beep, key in your PBN.
INTERNATIONAL LONG-DISTANCE CALLS: Dial 9 + 011 + country code + city code and number. When you hear the
beep, key in your PBN. In many countries, the local number doesn’t necessarily contain seven numbers.
