Pricing for Student Phone Services

Local calling plan
At the beginning of the school year, the phone lines in common rooms (such as the living room in a suite) and single dorm rooms are already active in FAS, GSAS and Law School. Telephone arrangements vary as each school has unique allowances/restrictions as it relates to a school and/or building.

 
  FAS Undergraduate Housing
  FAS Undergraduate Housing Your common room line and red touch-tone telephone is configured for on-campus and 911 emergency calls and (800) type calls only. To have access to outgoing calls beyond the Harvard campus, contact PAETEC at 1.800.960.6665 to upgrade your line to allow long-distance calls. Upgraded common room lines or bedroom lines cost $20 per month.

  GSAS and Harvard Law School Housing
  Local calling in the Boston Metropolitan area is included on your line. Your PAETEC PBN (Personal Billing Number) can be used for long-distance calls. Note for GSAS students at Cronkhite : Lines are not active. Contact PAETEC to activate telephone service at 1.800.960.6555 or www.campuslink.paetec.com/harvard.html . The telephone line charge is $20 per month.

  For all other Harvard Housing and Residential Housing
  For all other schools and residential housing, the lines are not active. Contact PAETEC to activate telephone service at 1.800.960.6555 or www.campuslink.paetec.com/harvard.html . The telephone line charge is $20 per month.

Long distance calling plans
  Domestic long distance is 7.9 cents per minute. An optional plan is available: for $7.95 per month, domestic calls are only 2.9 cents per minute. To place long distance calls please contact PAETEC to obtain your Personal Billing Number (PBN).
 
  International long distance Visit the PAETEC web site and enter “Your Account” to see international rates for specific counties. You can also go to CellularLD website for competitive rates from cellular phones. Examples of some of the PAETEC rates can be found here .
 
Optional Calling Features
  Voicemail $4 monthly fee per individual mailbox Other features such as call waiting, 3-way calling, caller ID and speed dialing are included on your line at no extra charge.

Connect/Disconnect/Change Service - No Charge
 
Repair Service
  There is no charge for line repairs. A $75.00 an hour fee applies for a site visit if a problem is determined to be caused by a user-provided telephone set.
 
Billing and Account Fees
  Directory Assistance charge $0.85 per call
  Late fee (if balance is 60 + days overdue) 1.5% fee will be applied to all balances greater than $5.00.
  Returned check fee $20 per event will be applied on your next bill.
