Support Services: Connected DataProtector Backup Client
For a fee, DLS clients can have the Connected DataProtector Backup Client
installed onto the computer hard drive by DLS technicians.
Connected DataProtector is a backup software application that is set to run
automatically every day on your computer in the background eliminating the
need to run a manual backup.
An Agent is installed on the end user's computer hard drive. This Agent is
configured to both backup data files to, and to retrieve files from, the
UIS Data Center.
The Agent has security features that ensure user's files cannot be
intercepted and decoded while being transmitted between the computer and
Data Center. Other Agent safeguards prevent end users from retrieving files
from other accounts that they are not authorized to access.
