Repair Services

Harvard University's Technology Products and Services selected Micros Northeast (Micros)* to provide repair services for computers that are personally owned by Harvard's students, faculty, and staff. Micros, a Service Center for Apple, Lenovo, and Dell, provide a full spectrum of repair services.

Micros is one of New England's oldest computer dealerships. Micros main service and retail facility is located at 329 Washington St, Woburn, MA 01801.

Warranty/Non-Warranty Services Offered by Micros Northeast

Warranty Service

Lenovo/IBM All desktop, monitor and laptop products purchased in the U.S.
Apple (a)All desktop, monitor, and laptop products purchased in the U.S. (b)For International laptops, Micros Notheast can facilitate a repair to the Apple Repair Center.
Dell All desktops, monitors, and laptops purchased through Harvard University are eligible for service through Micros Northeast.
HP All laser printers and business class computers.
  • In some cases, Micros Notheast may need to send a defective product to the manufacturer for repair.
  • Any repair performed that is not covered under manufacturer's warranty will be billed to the customer.
  • Warranties do not cover liquid spills or physical damage (cracked LCD) unless customers purchase an accidental plan. AppleCare does not cover liquid spills and cracked LCD.
  • Batteries are covered under the manufacturer's warranty for one (1) year from date of purchase.
  • Re-Installation of the Operating System is a billable service.
  • Data backup and data recovery services are provided for a fee.
  • For manufacturer's not listed, please contact the manufacturer for information on Warranty Services.

Protection Plan Policies for your Laptop or Desktop Computer

Safeware policies provide coverage for Accidental Damage such as drops, falls, collisions, screen breaks, liquid spills, power surge and more. Safeware also provides protection against perils that cannot be covered by warranties or service contracts. These perils include: Theft, Burglary, Robbery, Vandalism, Fire, Flood, Lightning, Wind, Hail and more.
