Technology Workshops

Harvard’s Technology Services and its partner vendors collaborate to bring you informative workshops covering topics from the latest hardware gadgets and productive software as well as security for your computer. Workshops start at 12 noon and are held at the Computer Product & Repair Center located in the Science Center, room B11. Pizza will be provided. TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Thursday, October 29th: Mac OS X Snow Leopard - Mac OS X Snow Leopard is even more powerful and refined version of the world's most advanced operating system which is faster, more reliable and ever easier to use. It offers hundreds of enhancements, out of the box support for Microsoft Exchange and new core technologies that take advantage of the powerful hardware in the Mac. In this workshop we'll show you the new and refined features that make Mac OS X better than ever.

Tuesday, November 10th: New to Mac? - New to Mac? Got a new Mac? Thinking about getting one? Learn how easy it is to use a Mac in this hands-on workshop. We’ll show you the basics, including setting up your new Mac, connecting to the web, sending email, importing and sharing photos, synchronizing music to your iPod, connecting a printer, and searching and organizing files.

Friday, November 13th: iPhoto - Find out why iPhoto makes it easier than ever to organize, enhance, and share your entire digital photo collection. In this hands-on workshop you'll edit and retouch photos as you learn new ways to make your photos look their best with professional-quality image adjustment tools and discover how easy it is to create impressive prints, photo books, and calendars

Tuesday, November 17th: iMovie – iMovie and iDVD Hands-on Workshop: With its revolutionary interface iMovie makes it quick and easy to create new movies and with new animated themes, iDVD turns your movies into gorgeous DVDs. In this workshop, you'll discover how to store, organize and browse your videos, as well as the fastest way to create amazing home movies to share with everyone in your life.

Wednesday, November 18th: iWeb - Take your website, blog, or podcast to the next level. iWeb lets you create awe-inspiring websites and blogs complete with podcasts, photos, and movies and get them online fast. With iWeb and a Mac, you have everything you need to become a true web master.
